Kroy Biermann is an American athlete who plays as a professional football defensive end player for the Atlanta Falcons as part of the National Football League. Biermann has spent his entire professional career with the Falcons, after being drafted out of university in 2008. Through the last eight years with the Falcons, Biermann has accumulated a net worth of an estimated USD $3.5 million dollars.
Biermann was born on September 12th, 1985 in Hardin, Montana where he started playing football at a young age in high school. His childhood was spent highly involved in athletics, in which he also participated in track and wrestling during his high school years. Attending the University of Montana in his post-secondary years, Biermann continued to play football after joining the university team.
During his first year as a freshman in 2004, Biermann had a lot of field time playing 14 of the 15 games for the season. The next year, Biermann played all the games of the season. Through his university football career, Biermann was widely regarded and won the Buck Buchanan Award during the year of 2007, a year before he graduated. After graduation in 2008, Biermann was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons to which he still plays for. He has played every season with them except during the year of 2013 in which he suffered an injury to his Achilles tendon, putting him out of commission for the season.
Biermann participated in the charity event Dancing Stars of Atlanta, which is a celebrity dance competition raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association. Biermann met his now-wife Kim Zolciak, who is a celebrity from the reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Biermann will continue to play for the Atlanta Falcons, as he signed a one-year renewal contract with the team for $1.925 million dollars, complete with a signing bonus of $500,000.
