Slade Smiley was born in 1973 and is originally from Anchorage, Alaska. He is an American reality TV personality with a net worth of approximately $100,000. Smiley is best known for his appearances on “Real Housewives of Orange Country”.
Slade Smiley spent his youth in Alaska performing in a choir and also appearing in plays at the local theaters. Smiley also excelled at sports, competing in track and field, cycling, and skiing. Smiley even trained with the US National cycling team at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs. Smiley attended the 2003 Tour De France and continued to compete professionally for ten years.
Smiley always displayed in interest in acting and while in California he began both acting and modeling. Smiley ended up appearing in some high profile commercials for such brands as Adidas, Gillette, Gatorade, and Milk. Smiley has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 1995.
In 2005, Smiley was engaged to a woman named Jo De La Rosa, and they were both cast in the first season of Bravo’s reality TV show, “The Real Housewives of Orange County”. The show followed the couple as they lived in an upper class, gated community of Orange county. Eventually Slade Smiley and Jo De La Rosa broke off their engagement, but Smiley continued to charm audiences in a spin-off series called, “Date my ex”.
In season 5 of “Real Housewives of Orange County,” Smiley returned as the show documented his romantic relationship with another housewife, Gretchen Christine Rossi. The couple became a popular item for audiences, often appearing in entertainment shows and magazines. As “The Real Housewives of Orange County” went into it’s 10th season, Smiley was still appearing on the show as his adventures into the comedy club scene are documented.
Smiley is extremely active in Cancer foundations such as Make-A-Wish due to his own son, Grayson, being diagnosed with cancer.
Besides the entertainment world, Smiley has a degree obtained from the International Business of California State University Long Beach, and runs his company, Grayson Entertainment, LLC which focuses on consulting, brand development, marketing and sponsor integration. Smiley also launched a radio show called “Radio Slade” and acted in the mini-series “Texas Rising” in 2015.
