Susan Victoria Lucci is an American author, singer, actress and entrepreneur who was born in Scarsdale, New York on December 23, 1946 and currently has a net worth of about $45 million. She is well known for her role as Erica Kane in the TV show ‘All My Children’.
Having been an avid fan of television soap operas since childhood, she eventually enrolled in the drama program at Marymount College, after she graduated high school.
In 1969 she auditioned for and received the part of Erica Kane for the popular soap opera ‘All My Children’, a role in which she played for 41 years until ABC canceled it on April 14, 2001. Even though she received 18 nominations for her role as Erica Kane, she did not win an Emmy until 1999 for her role.
Besides playing Ericka Kane in All My Children, she appeared in the drama series ‘Dallas’ between 1990 and 1991. Se has also stared in various melodramatic television movies such as Lady Mobster (1988), French Silk (1994) as well as Blood on Her Hands (1998). Since the cancellation of the TV show All My Children, she tackled various television projects. For instance, she made a guest appearance in Hot in Cleveland as well as Army Wives. She also debuted her own show ‘Devious Maids’ in the fall of 2013.
Besides the fact that she won the 1999 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in A Drama Series, she also won the Muse Award in 2004 and the MINY (Made In New York) award in 2005. In that same year she also won a Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Lead in a Daytime Drama and was honored for the Star on the Walk of Fame. She was also ranked as being the 37th greatest TV star of all time and was named as VH1’s Top Icons of All Time.
Currently, Susan Lucci runs her own collection of beauty products that go by the name of the ‘Susan Lucci Collection’. She also receives revenue for a fragrance she introduced back in 1999 by the name of La Lucci. She currently lives in Garden City, New York with her manager and husband, Helmut. The couple have been married since 1969 and have 2 children, one of whom – Lisa – debuted on the TV show Passions.
