Trinidad James, also known as Nicholas Williams, is a successful rapper in the hip hop world. James was born in Spain, but his family soon moved to America for better opportunities. Due to a head injury, his personal memory is limited to age 7 and on. His current net worth is $2.3 million.
Mr. James had a very short-lived professional life. He began rapping in November 2011 at age 23, telling others that he was inspired by the work of Jay-Z, Cam’ron, T.I., and Young Jeezy.
In 2012, he was lucky enough to get a contract with Def Jam Recordings, a renowned company in the music industry. His first single with Def Jam was entitled “All Gold Everything,” and it scored high on the US Billboard Hot 100 and US R&B/Hip Hop charts. The song began as a track on his debut mixtape, which was released by the recording studio on July 31, 2012. His contract with Def Jam records began the same year, awarding him $2 million for the joint venture.
In August of 2013, Trinidad James made the announcement that another mixtape would be released. However, Trinidad failed to fulfill the obligations he committed to with Def Jam’s studio. After months and months of promising additional music, and without being able to deliver, Mr. James was dropped from his contract with the company in August 2014. Rather than taking the news lying down, the rapper decided to let his fan base know that the album he was working on would be released for free to the public instead, rather than trying to gain additional finances from selling the music. He gave a public statement, which told any contributors to his album that they would not be compensated, due to the lack of funds.
Trinidad James now sells his merchandise from his website, along with making his voice heard in multiple racial debates. He was formerly linked to a friend named Niykee Heaton, but little else is known about his personal life at this time.
