Vin Diesel was born as Mark Sinclair on July 18th, 1967 in the Alameda County of California, a county which is part of the San Francisco Bay Area and has an estimated net worth of $145 million dollars.
Even though he was born on the west coast, he spent much of his life growing up in New York City. Eventually adopting his stage name as “Vin Diesel”, he is best known for his career as an actor, producer, director, and screenwriter. His most notable works include his acting and producing work in the Fast & Furious movie franchise.
Diesel’s career started at early adulthood when he created his first film Multi-Facial in which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in. His first work went on to be screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 1995, catching the attention of acclaimed director Steven Spielberg. This led to Diesel playing a role in Spielberg’s war film Saving Private Ryan in 1998.
Continuing on the path to success, Diesel worked with notable actors during his role in the thriller movie Boiler Room in the year 2000. Diesel continued this character as the movie was developed into a trilogy, later starring in The Chronicles of Riddick during 2004 and the third film titled “Riddick” in 2013, both of which he also worked to produce.
The most notable character that Vin Diesel has portrayed is Dominic Toretto from the film The Fast and the Furious in 2001, which was eventually developed into a long running franchise. Diesel’s character made an appearance in five of the eight films currently made. His production work with the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as numerous other projects has been a strong contribution to his success.
Diesel has also announced that the Fast & Furious franchise will continue to develop, with a ninth and tenth film to be made for 2019 and 2021. Currently, Diesel is continuing his production work with the development of two new films set to be released in 2016 and 2017, both of which he will also star in as a leading role.
